The Dassault-Breguet Super Etendard is a French, single-engine, airborne fighter-attack aircraft, flown on October 28, 1974. The drive is provided by a single SNECMA Atar motor with a thrust of 4900 daN. The machine was created as a modernization of the Dassault Etendard IVM aircraft. Two versions of the Super Etendard were created: 'M, which is a fighter-attack model, and' P '- a reconnaissance aircraft. Serial production of this machine was small: 71 were produced for the use of the French Navy, 14 were exported to Argentina, and 5 to Iraq. took part in the war for the Falklands, where they sunk the destroyer HMS Sheffield, HMS Atlantic Conveyor and seriously damaged HMS Glamorgan using AM-39 Exocet II missiles.
